Welcome to the Sir Robert Taylor Society, a network of teachers of Modern Foreign Languages in secondary schools, academics in the Medieval and Modern Languages Faculty at the University of Oxford, and others who have an interest in Modern Languages.

Our annual conference takes places in September at the University of Oxford, and provides a unique forum for interaction and exchange between the University and teachers.

The 2016 conference will be held at Lady Margaret Hall. The programme has now been finalised and can be viewed here. You can book through our online store. If you are unable to book through the store and would like to discuss an alternative payment method, please email us at srts@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk.

We are very fortunate to have been awarded HEFCE funding under the National Network for Collaborative Outreach scheme in 2016. This is funding a joint project with the MML outreach and schools liaison team at the University of Cambridge. The NNCO grant will provide funding towards  bursaries for MFL teachers from the maintained sector to attend the Sir Robert Taylor Society Conference, and the conference of our sister society at Cambridge, the Oliver Prior Society.

Teachers interested in applying for an SRTS bursary should contact us at srts@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk.
